Embarking on a journey with a new to wellness brand was a wonderful creative endeavor for Integrated Hustle, Laena’s previous agency. Simone Iloma, a brand that was being built around meditation content and products, inspired us to weave a visual narrative that mirrored the brand’s spiritual and sophisticated spirit. Known for their wellness retreats, Simone’s unique handmade candles and essential oils were our inspiration, setting the stage for a marketing exploration to capture the essence of her scents and dynamic content.

The founder had a lot of creative ideas for marketing but little time to execute them. The day-to-day operations of her business in fashion, along with setting plans in motion for future growth, needed her attention more than marketing. In addition, the wellness and wellness product market was blowing up in mid-2019, making the marketing strategy and positioning all the more critical. We needed to get this right the first time around, and quickly as she had a retreat planned for 4-months out.
SOLUTION
Our solution was to develop a marketing campaign, strategy and messaging that fit specifically with her target audience. We dove deep into the typical customer experience of a Gen Z customer looking for a deeper connection in their life, and willing to spend money on products that felt special and unique. Their target market audience is made up predominantly of women, who enjoy yoga, fitness, fashion and are leaning into a more spiritual lifestyle and meditation in particular.
We wanted our client to start marketing her brand and creating a following before she launched any products. We created an Instagram page for our client to begin to build a following around the experience she was having of creating this brand. We updated their social media with fun photos and videos of her making her candles and using her oils, as well as gorgeous photos from her popular retreats. From there, our team created a marketing maintenance plan that includes social media marketing, e-newsletter, website maintenance, graphic design and consultation. We regularly met with our client to discuss news, strategy, and planning.
Results
Simone Iloma launched with great success in 2019, and although the brand has changed its name and added more fashion and product elements, it continues to grow its brand recognition, its customer base, its revenue, and its legacy.
